Si tratta di un evento
molto importante che non solo si svolgerà in Italia, ma si terrà
nel periodo della Presidenza Italiana dell'Actuarial Association of
Europe (AAE).
L'assegnazione
all'Italia del Congresso conferma quanto la presenza del nostro
Paese sia diventata significativa a livello europeo, ed anche
internazionale, ed è anche un risultato di una proficua azione
geopolitica. Peraltro, attraverso la nostra presenza nello Steering
Committee, si sta dando un notevole quanto determinante contributo
all'organizzazione; sono di ispirazione italiana ad esempio il
video, le sponsorizzazioni locali, i patrocini gratuiti, i
contenuti ben visibili nella "call for speakers" allegata e
soprattutto l'introduzione di un titolo "Managing uncertainty in a
changing world - Assessing risks sustainably for the well-being of
society"
che lancia precisi messaggi, soprattutto verso glistakeholder, da
sviluppare durante il Congresso e da riprendere nelle conclusioni.
Questo approccio è stato già seguito nel recenteEuropean Actuarial
Day 2023 (EAD 2023) laddove introduzione e conclusioni hanno
seguito tale logica.
Durantel'EAD 2023l'Italia è stato il Paese più presente sia in
termini di partecipanti che dispeakers; ci auguriamo sia lo stesso
nel prossimo Congresso Europeo.
Tramite ISOA e SIA si sta già supportando
l'organizzazione.

The 5th European Congress of
Actuaries (ECA 2024) will take place in Rome, on 6 and 7 June 2024.
In total, 350 experts, decision makers and other professionals from
all over Europe are expected to join the on-site two-day conference
hosted by the Actuarial Association of Europe in cooperation with
the Italian Society of Actuaries (ISOA).
Based on the
congresstheme
"Managing
uncertainty in a changing world - Assessing risks sustainably for
the well-being of society", the ECA 2024 will again
feature a varied and inspiring congress program with 4 excellent
keynote sessions by renowned guest speakers as well as technical
sessions covering the full scope of actuarial subject areas from
practice to academia. The theme opens a window to push the future
of the actuarial profession towards new horizons and explore areas
where actuaries can bring in their skills in quantifying risks.
Thus, the goal is to develop the traditional areas in insurance and
pensions further, but at the same time to open new and broader
areas that deal with the emerging risks, to support all
stakeholders with ideas, proposals, and solutions. In addition to
the congress program, several opportunities for exchange, such as a
central exhibition area or the Italian evening event on 6 June
2024, will complete the event experience.

European forum for the discussion of current challenges and
important issues of the actuarial profession, we highly depend on
