AAE sessions at CONVENTION A
On 20 and 22 September, AAE participated with two sessions at CONVENTION A. The result were exciting discussions with the EC, EIOPA and Insurance Europe as well as an update on latest results from the AAE committees. Find the recordings on actuview from mid of October.

On 1 September 2022, the AAE published Issue 31 of The European Actuary. 


On 6 September 2022, the AAE published the AAE Discussion Paper "Sustainability issues and reputational risk for insurance companies and pension funds". The Press Release can be found here.

The AAE is preparing a response to the following consultation:

• EIOPA's Supervisory statement on differential pricing practices in non-life insurance lines of business with a deadline of 7 October.

News from associations

• Professor Ermanno Pitacco passed away

The sad news reached us that Prof. Ermanno Pitacco passed away.

For many, many years he was an active member and well respected colleague in the AAE Education Committee. His contribution to the development of the actuarial profession not only in Italy but also in Europe was significant. We will always remember his open-minded kindness.

Our hearts go out to his family and friends and we wish them all the best in dealing with this tremendous loss.

• AAE conducts a survey on the attractiveness of an actuarial career 

AAE wants to better understand how the attractiveness of pursuing an actuarial career is currently seen in its member associations. A survey was sent to AAE delegates to collect responses, before 20 November 2022 (link to the survey).

• 25th Anniversary of Latvian Actuaries Association (Latvijas Aktuãru Asociãcija)

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary, the Latvian Actuaries Association organised a free webinar on 23 September 2022. More details can be found here.
