Vision from the  IAA President

Please join us to hear from IAA President, Micheline Dionne, on the Vision and Projects for the near future for the IAA. We will discuss the current IAA project on climate risk as well as our future climate risk action plan which aims to tackle issues such as water-related risks, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and the International Sustainability Standard's Board recently released papers on their two proposed standards on general sustainability-related disclosure requirements, and climate-related disclosure requirements.

A great opportunity to visualize challenges that our profession is facing and how IAA is advancing on these issues.

Micheline Dionne | IAA President 
Micheline Dionne began her tenure as President of the International Actuarial Association on January 1, 2023. As President, Micheline also serves as chair of the Executive Committee and of the Council, as well as being an Officer of the organization. Micheline is also a member of the Nominations Committee and Ex-Officio of the Strategic Planning Committee.  Prior to 2022, she was chair of the Climate Risk TF and of the Resource and Environment Forum. Since starting her involvement with the IAA, she has been co-vice-chair of the Insurance Accounting Committee (2012-2015), Delegate to the Life Section (2013-2017), Chair of the ISAP 4 TF (2013-2020), IAA delegate to the IFRS Advisory Council (2014-2019) and Member of the Executive Committee (2015-2018). She also served as delegate for the Canadian Institute of Actuaries on Council (2017-2021) and on the Strategic Planning Committee (2021).
Since retirement, Micheline has served on the board of directors of Assuris (protecting Canadian life insureds against insurers' insolvency) and in 2021 served as independent expert on a panel group reviewing the fairness of the state auto insurance scheme premiums
