Dear Sir or
Madam
The upcoming Solvency II regulations imply significant changes in
the risk management of insurance companies.
To support you and your company with the necessary conversions, we
are offering the EAA Seminar "Modelling and Validating Mortality
under Solvency II" again on 10/11 March 2016 in
Madrid,
Spain, this time in co-operation with
theInstituto de
Actuarios Españoles.
In this seminar we focus on modelling mortality risk, which we
define as the risk of unexpected changes in the trend underlying
future mortality rates. Various aspects of mortality model
specification, calibration, and application will be discussed.
Ideas and practical advice for the implementation of these models
will be provided. The seminar combines methodological concepts
within mortality modelling with many practical examples and
applications under Solvency II. After attending this seminar,
participants will be familiar with most recent insights of
mortality modelling within Solvency II.
In addition, there will be a guest talk by Dr Fernando Ariza, who
recently wrote a book on longevity. He will focus on the
practical implementation to the Spanish market, where longevity is
a bigger issue than mortality. The participation at this talk is
optional and free for all attendees.
The seminar is specially developed for actuaries, risk managers or
statisticians working in actuarial, risk management and model
validation departments. A basic knowledge of life techniques in
actuarial science and statistics is useful.
