models are very diverse and include such applications as economic

All these applications impose different requirements upon the
generation and the validation of economic scenarios. This seminar
has been developed for professionals who are interested in Economic
Scenario Generators because they deal with one or more applications

In property and casualty insurance, the provisions for payment
obligations from losses that have occurred but have not yet been

side. Determination and evaluation of these technical provisions,
which are also called loss reserves, are of considerable economic
importance for every company. The aim of this seminar is to provide
participants with a deeper understanding of basic as well as modern
loss reserving methods and their application issues, which will be
useful for the daily work in particular for those who are involved

Fit and Proper for Actuaries - (Not
just) Fulfilling the Solvency II
Directive
7/8 May 2018 | Amsterdam, The
Netherlands
Solvency II Directive, article 42, states "Insurance and
reinsurance undertakings shall ensure that all persons who
effectively run the undertaking or have other key functions at all
times fulfil the following requirements: their professional
qualifications, knowledge and experience are adequate to enable
sound and prudent management (fit); and they are of
good repute and integrity (proper)." But what does
this requirement actually mean? And how does this translate into

this sometimes intangible topic and will be throughout highly
