This seminar continues the cooperation between the International Actuarial Association (IAA) and the EAA on the different IAA monographs. The training is based on the just recently released book "Discount Rates in Financial Reporting: A Practical Guide" (© 2013 International Actuarial Association) and intends to provide actuaries, practicing in the insurance or pension fields, with a comprehensive overview related to the understanding, development, and use of discount rates in the context of financial reporting. All participants will receive a copy of the book as a reference guide for practitioners interested in understanding this important topic.
