The power of IT keeps on increasing. Complex and massive data
and how to get results from this information is more and more
becoming an important subject for almost all areas of economy. In
this context dealing with cash-flows is one of the major topics for
actuaries in the fields of insurance and financial industry, where
the role of the actuary is key. For this reason this teaching event
has been designed for participants who work in this area or are
interested in Cash-Flow Modelling.
The seminar will combine theory with practice: after an
introduction to actuarial modelling and deepening their now-how in
(cash-flow) modelling, the participants will deal with practical IT
solutions for insurance companies. This second part will include
best practices for ensuring the right data are available for their
(Solvency II related) calculations.
After completing this course, participants should be able
to model cash-flow in a way that suits actuarial standards. They
will learn how to rely on IT infrastructure and also find out about
exiting limits and alternatives.
