Hosted by the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and
the International Actuarial Association Health Section
(IAAHS).
Worldwide demand for long-term care (LTC) is expected to
increase significantly in the coming decades because of longevity
increases and advances in technologies and treatment. Countries
around the world will need to develop more comprehensive strategies
to address challenges associated not only with financing LTC but
also with delivering services and support and meeting the needs of
both beneficiaries and providers/caregivers.
Join us for this international webcast that will feature a
discussion about some of the global challenges facing LTC,
including delivery methods, financing, and program design, as well
as the role actuaries play in identifying trends and potential
solutions to each of these challenges. Presenters will highlight a
new report issued by the International Actuarial Association's
Population Issues Working Group, and will share perspectives on LTC
from Canada and France.
This webcast is free for members of the CIA and the IAA Health
Section; if you are not a Health Section member there is a
registration fee equivalent to the IAAHS annual membership fee ($50
Canadian). Joining the
IAAHS allows you to participate in all IAAHS-sponsored
webinars until the end of 2017.
