Highlights from Budapest

• The 47th Annual Meeting took place from October 9-11, 2024, in Budapest, Hungary. Hosted by the Magyar Aktuárius Társaság (MAT).

• The event featured key committee meetings and marked the 50th General Assembly a historic milestone for the AAE.

  • To mark the occasion, special cookies were shared with attendees.

     

• Elections were also held for successors to various key positions during the General Assembly on 11 October 2024.

• The event also featured an exciting Young Actuary Initiative workshop in Budapest: Discussing with and listening to 14 young actuaries from Hungary about their needs and ideas.

The AAE submitted a response to the following consultations:

• The Commission's Targeted consultation on artificial intelligence in the financial sector

• The European AI Office's consultation on the AI Act: Have Your Say on Trustworthy General-Purpose AI

   

The AAE will be submitting a response and requests volunteers for:

• EIOPA's consultation on new proportionality regime under Solvency II - deadline 25 October 2024

• EIOPA's consultation on supervising the liquidity risk management of IORPs - deadline 20 December 2024

• EIOPA's consultation on the supervision of liquidity risk management plans - SII Review - deadline 2 January 2025

• EIOPA's Consultation on scenarios for best-estimate valuations for life insurance obligations - SII Review - deadline 2 January 2025

• EOIPA's consultation on the criteria for the identification of exceptional sector-wide shock - SII Review - deadline 2 January 2025
