­ Increasing market pressure for organisations to accelerate delivery of sustainable strategies has sometimes led to misrepresentation of achievements in the Sustainability domain, or ESG-washing allegations.

Regulators are increasingly scrutinising organisations for mis-selling or misrepresentation of sustainable outcomes promised in products and investments and have now started to establish regulations and guidelines to ensure disclosures and sustainability commitments are justified and validated by organisations.

The purpose of this session will be to highlight how the ESG-washing looks like, what possible source could be, and what approaches insurance entities can implement to integrate ESG-washing risk in their ERM.
