International Congress of Actuaries (ICA 2026)

The 1st Announcement & Call for Papers has been published on the official website.

ICA2026 welcomes presentations from a diverse range of delegates, including practitioners, academics, and other professionals from around the world.

Through this Call for Papers, ICA2026 offers you the opportunity to be part of the Congress program and contribute to the advancement of actuarial science across various fields.

The first step is to submit an abstract of your presentation bySeptember 30, 2025. We welcome presentations without a paper. You can submit an abstract even if you do not plan to provide a paper for the Congress. However, please note that only submitted papers will be eligible for awards and we would encourage you to submit a paper.

Submission Form: All submissions must be sent using the online form.

Closing Date:  The closing date is September 30, 2025.

IAA Responses to Supranational Consultations

Audience: Council Delegates and Presidents of Member Associations

The IAA submitted the responses to public consultations by the following Supranational organizations:

1. Public consultation on the draft Revised IOPS Principles of Private Pension Supervision

The members of the IAA's Pensions, Benefits and Social Security Forum reviewed the draft Revised IOPS Principles of Private Pension Supervision and formulated a response on behalf of the IAA. The IAA response was submitted to the IOPS on 14 February 2025.

We thank Lisa Ullman and Barbara D´Ambrogi-Ola for taking the lead in drafting the response with input from the members of the Pensions, Benefits and Social Security Forum.

1. IAIS Public consultation on draft application paper on the supervision of artificial intelligence

The Insurance Regulations Committee together with the IAA's AI Task Force responded to the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) draft Application Paper on the supervision of artificial intelligence. The IAA response was submitted to the IAIS on 17 February 2025.

We thank Nick Dexter and Bogdan Tautan for taking the lead in drafting the response with input from the members of the Insurance Regulations Committee and the IAA's AI Task Force.

1. The Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) public consultation on new methods and guidance

The Climate and Sustainability Committee responded to the PCAF public consultation on new methods and guidance: Part C - Insurance-Associated Emissions. The IAA response was submitted to the PCAF on 28 February 2025.

We thank Rade Musulin for taking the lead in drafting the response with input from the members of the Climate and Sustainability Committee.
