Welcome to the 1st Young Actuaries World Cup.

We are excited to announce the opening of the 1st Young Actuaries World Cup (YAWC). The Young Actuaries World Cup is a friendly competition open to actuaries or actuarial students, under 35 years old and members of an IAA member association, interested to share their ideas or work.

 

YAWC participants are asked to submit a video no longer than 7 minutes long on the theme "Bridge to Tomorrow", which can be interpreted in many ways by the participants, may it be on climate issues, new products, new areas of actuarial practice or in general how actuaries can contribute to a better society. The 4 finalists of the competition will be invited to play the finals at the ICA 2023 in Sydney. We will cover their airfare, ICA registration and accommodation.

How can you help? It is very simple.

The YAWC can only be successful with the support of our member associations, and you can help your young members by:

  • Forwarding this message with the brochure below (also attached) to your young members encouraging them to participate on this exciting competition.
  • Posting this brochure and video on your website with a link to the YAWC website that includes the competition rules and general competition timeline.
  • Re-sharing the posts made on the IAA social media channels and by using the #IAA_YAWC hashtag: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter.
