Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly becoming part of many aspects of life, and healthcare is no exception.  Although algorithms, machine learning and forms of AI have been used in the delivery and funding of healthcare for a number of years, the emergence of successful large language models (such as ChatGPT) is increasing the interest in how we can practically use AI in healthcare delivery and health funding/insurance.

Given these trends, the "Digital Health" Project Team of the IAAHS will be called the "AI and Digital Health" Project Team going forward. This is to highlight our current increased focus on AI. The vision of the project team is to share and expand knowledge about the uses of data and technology in both the delivery and funding of healthcare. 
 
With our new focus, we would like to invite you to be part of this exciting project team. Aside from making new global actuarial connections through the team, you will have opportunities to interact with interesting, groundbreaking companies that make a real difference in the world of healthcare, to organize and facilitate webinars and to potentially publish material. By being involved, you will keep yourself and others in the profession up to date with the latest developments in AI and digital health.
